[carve] Can references be used to validify disputed information?

I'm concerned about the accuracy of the page Matoran (Language). I can't easily find source information for some of the translations, and I would like to know if exceptions could be made for pages containing disorganized, confusing, or dubious information.

Does a "ban" on references actually exist? If so, where is it documented?(I'm a little bit confused about the Wiki in general, so I keep coming back to ask these questions.) The Lord of the Masks 09:39, 28 August 2008 (PDT)

I actually meant to ask this question: In the event that an article contains information with disputed factual information, can anything be done to end the confusion?

Also, is there a page in the "Policy" section of BS01 which explains the "no-references-or-citations" rule? I respect BS01's policies and everything, but I prefer to know the reasons why they exist, to avoid any future confusion or ambiguity over such subjects.

*sigh* It's not an actual policy, but just something we don't do, like correct typos in serials. And it has nothing to do with wikipedia using that system, we as a whole just generally see it as too messy and confusing. If you are are worried about the authenticity of something, you are supposed to say so on the talkpage, or, if it goes unanswered, take it directly to a staff's talk. Source filename is the file from your computer, I believe Destination filename should be the same thing, just as it appears from the wiki. As for scanning, you need a scanner, if you're attempting to upload pictures from books and stuff. I made the decision to pull it, because the book wasn't meant to be released this early. We'll resume it on Oct. 1st, and go to Nov. 1st, that way the actual spoilers can show up in Nov. when the book supposedly comes out, and then white-on-white can be removed in Dec. on the 1st. Would it be good to make a page that, for example, says "Mask of shielding" and have it redirect to Hau? Because it may make searching for masks easier but, on the other hand it could crowd the server. ~Deebee~

How on earth do you do your signature so easily? I usually go to my preferences in a new tab, then copy the sig, then paste it where I want it. But, I think that other people have a better way so.... How?? ~Deebee~

Well, On the front page of My Prefrences, there should be a box that says "Nickname". Put your signature in that box, then press the "Raw signature" button, then hit save prefrences. after that, to type your sig, insert 3 or 4 ~'s. :) (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Avlok Mahri.)

Here's the story behind it, folks. Back when we did restore it, Epsilon had asked I do a Ignika for the logo, I overruled him and stuck to the Avohkii. To be fair with Eps, I decided to make the Ignika logo the favicon. I could change it, but to what becomes the question? While having fun and clicking the random page button I will occasionally come across an empty page, such as [removed]? Why? I have never heard of either but have never seen the movies so...if that toa/warrior/rahi/thing... ever appeared shouldn't it have info and an appearance?
