Shu was a Gukko Force pilot on Mata Nui and typically patrolled the skies of Le-Wahi often.
During a Rahi attack on Le-Koro, Shu, Tamaru, and the other Gukko Force Members were the only ones to evade capture from the Nui-Rama. They hid when they heard Takua coming up to the village, but once they heard him play a flute they came out of there hiding places and greeted him. Later duing another attack, Shu saddled up and rode into battle. Matau, and the other Le-Matoran were freed with the help of Onua.
Shu was among the Le-Matoran to be captured by the Bohrok. Following their capture, the Matoran had their Kanohi replaced with Krana. The Krana were later removed following the swarm's defeat by the Boxors.
He helped construct Boats to assist his and the other Matoran's return to Metru Nui, where he now resides.
