The Sand Tarakava are slightly smaller relatives of the Tarakava that live in Ga-Wahi, although they are found in the deserts of Po-Wahi instead. Their hunting method is to hide under the sand and wait for unsuspecting prey to come near. They share their territory with other large Rahi, including the Nui-Jaga. Sand Tarakava are yellow in color, and they briefly wore Infected Kanohi shaped like the Kanohi Ruru during Teridax's attempts to enslave the Matoran of Mata Nui. The Sand Tarakava are the enemies of the Kikanalo.
Set Information
The Sand Tarakava was originally planned for release as a set, but didn't make it past the prototype stage. Five Sand Tarakava were released, however, and were bought by collectors for USD $30.00 each.
