The Rahkshi of Heat Vision are a breed of Rahkshi created when black and bright-orange Kraata of Heat Vision are subjected to Energized Protodermis. An additional Kraata of the same power is needed to operate the resulting robotic Rahkshi.

History

Metru Nui

Within the Onu-Metru Archives, a wild Rahkshi of Heat Vision attacked Toa Metru Whenua and Tehutti. To escape the Rahkshi, Whenua released a caged Muaka, and the pair departed as it and the Rahkshi fought.

After Teridax's takeover of the Matoran Universe, a number of Heat Vision Rahkshi battled the Toa Mahri in Po-Metru.

Bara Magna

After landing on the planet of Bara Magna in the body of the Great Spirit, Teridax unleashed an army of Heat Vision Rahkshi onto the planet to deal with its inhabitants. The Rahkshi came into conflict with the Glatorian and succeeded in killing some of them.

After Teridax blasted the Golden Armor over Bara Magna, a Rahkshi took a piece of the armor. That Rahkshi and another attacked Takanuva, and he created a hologram Takanuva and sent it in between the Rahkshi. They used their heat vision, and ended up frying each other. Later, an army came to attack Gresh, Tahu, and Takanuva, but Tahu used the Golden Armor. The result was that the Rahkshi of Heat Vision, and all the other Rahkshi on Bara Magna, were disabled when their Kraata were incinerated by the Golden Armor's power.

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision are capable of emitting beams of intense heat from their eyes. The strength of the the Heat Vision depends on the power level of the Kraata operating it. When Rahkshi of Heat Vision use their powers, their eyesight is greatly hindered for a short time afterwards.

Tools

The Rahkshi of Heat Vision carry Staffs of Heat Vision that can be used for combat. Although they cannot channel their powers through them, they must be holding them to access their Heat Vision powers.

A Rahkshi of Heat Vision was released as a part of the 2010 BIONICLE Stars line. The set uses seventeen of its total eighteen pieces; the eighteenth is intended to be used as the shield for the Golden Armor.
