The Rahaga were six beings, who were once — and are now again — Toa known as the Toa Hagah. They devoted themselves to saving Rahi whose homes have been invaded by the Visorak.

History

The six Toa Hagah, previously noble guardians of the Makuta Teridax who turned against him when they learned his dark intentions, were mutated into Rahkshi-headed mockeries of Turaga by the powers of Roodaka's Rhotuka spinner and named Rahaga by her in a cruel jest, combining the words "Rahkshi" and "Hagah"

Soon after becoming Rahaga, the six friends set out on a quest to capture and save Rahi from the Visorak hordes of Roodaka and Sidorak. Along the way, they searched for Keetongu, a legendary Rahi skilled in the ways of venoms and their antidotes. Their travels eventually took them to Metru Nui, where they fought alongside the Toa Hordika in a quest to save the sleeping Matoran, and finally found Keetongu. Vakama, overtaken by his bestial rage, betrayed his friends and joined Roodaka, capturing Iruini, Gaaki, Kualus, Bomonga, and Pouks as proof of his worth to the horde. Norik and the other Toa Hordika eventually found Keetongu and defeated the Visorak, freeing their friends and bringing Vakama back to the side of the light. The healed Toa Metru set off to the island of Mata Nui with the Matoran, and the Rahaga remained in Metru Nui.

During this time, they helped Turaga Dume rebuild much of the city, and occasionally left to visit other islands and help the citizens there to recover from the Visorak. They were in the city by the time Vakama, the Matoran, and the Toa Nuva finally returned to Metru Nui, although they left soon afterwards. They then went to Xia to help its residents from the battle between Tahtorak and the Kanohi Dragon. While there, they discovered that the Toa Nuva had captured Roodaka, and they forced her to turn them back into Toa Hagah.

  • In Web of Shadows, the Rahaga have the ability to fly using propellers, though in the actual storyline they have none. They can, however, use their Rhotuka for flight. The movie designers gave them propellers to allow flight, per creative license.
