"Ga-Koro Guard" is not an official name. It may have been referenced in the storyline as such, but has not been officially named. Alternatively, it may be a name popular among fans, but has no official basis.

The Ga-Koro Guard was a Ga-Matoran-run Military organization that worked primarily to defend the village of Ga-Koro. Their most common weapons include Ga-Koro Fishing Staffs and sharpened Bamboo. During the Bohrok invasion, Keras crabs were trained and outfitted with special riding plates to be used in helping to defend Ga-Koro.

History

The Ga-Koro Guard helped to prepare for the expected Rahi attacks on Ga-Koro, surrounding the village with sharpened bamboo poles.

When the Bohrok were first awakened, the Pahrak aimed to destroy Ga-Koro. Before they arrived, however, the Po-Matoran fled to Ga-Koro from Po-Koro to get away from the Tahnok and other Bohrok which were attacking their village. Shortly after the Po-Matoran were welcomed by Nokama, the Pahrak began their assault. As the Boxors were being prepared to attack the Bohrok, the Pahrak shot stone at one end of the plant walkway, causing the Boxors to fly into the air and land in the water. It was only thanks to the quick actions of Hahli and Macku that the riders were rescued. As the Pahrak had destroyed the walkway in question, the only way into the village, the village was safe, for now.

At nightfall, while the Matoran talked, the Pahrak destroyed the waterfall carving of a Kaukau and swarmed the village. Hewkii destroyed a walkway, which prevented the Bohrok from moving forward but also kept the Matoran and Turaga in one location, unable to escape. As morning broke, the Pahrak were given Krana that gave them the power to fly across to where the Matoran and Turaga were trapped. Since Jaller and Takua had camped outside the village, they were helpless to help the villagers. Using one of the posts the Guard had put up, Jaller propelled Takua to the area. However, the Toa defeated the Bahrag before the Pahrak could finish them off, ending the threat.

After the Matoran returned to Metru Nui, the Guard was continued there.

The Ga-Koro guard have been seen using mainly sharpened Bamboo Poles and Matoran Fishing Staffs.
