The Fire Sword was Toa Mata Tahu's Toa Tool. It could be used to channel his Fire powers, burn through obstacles, and utilized in melee combat. This tool was also used by Akamai, a being resulting from the fusion of Tahu, Onua, and Pohatu. Like Tahu, Akamai wielded it with his right hand.
The Fire Sword was changed into twin Magma Swords when Tahu was transformed into a Toa Nuva by Energized Protodermis.
Tahu's adaptive weapon took on the form of the Fire Sword when the Kanohi Ignika devolved Tahu back to his original form.
Example Usage
In the Mata Nui Online Game, Tahu used his Fire Sword to burn and cut his way out of a wooden trap set by the Ta-Koro Guard intended to snare Infected Rahi.
Set Information
The Fire Sword was included with the 2001 Tahu set.
In 2010, a new version of the Fire Sword was included in the BIONICLE Stars Tahu set. The blade of this version was blended from translucent red and orange plastic. The new version also had a silver pommel, which could be replaced with a gold pommel from the Skrall set when Tahu is given the Golden Armor.
