Pointless redirect pages should not be created.
- The Database makes copies in the archive once a redirect is made. If this redirect is deleted, it is still kept in the archive with all of the copies.
- All pages are non-case sensitive. This means if you search for "tahu," it will send you to Tahu. If you put "user:swert," you will get User:Swert. If you put "TAHU," you get Tahu. Redirecting to correct capital letters is unnecessary.
Having said that, you ARE allowed to make redirects for the following reasons:
- Correcting spelling.
- A "filler" name forwarding to the official name.
- Several names on ONE page. For example, Takua and Takanuva should redirect to Takua\Takanuva, or Cahdok and Gahdok to Bahrag.
- False names redirected to official name. Note, if the content is false, you should either remove it or request the page be deleted.
Hopefully we can all keep the DB healthier longer because of this policy.
