Our Guarantee
To insure the safety of our members, we, the staff, must create a Privacy Policy to ensure the health and wellbeing of others. Many of you know about blog sites and MySpace, in which sexual offenders use to their advantage. That is the last thing we want to happen here. To ensure that, we must have some guidelines as to how much personal information you can put on here.
- First names only: Simply put, first names are common. But when you start to say John Doe, or John Smith, or John Smith Doe, that is too specific. So having your first name is fine, and if you wish for people to call you that is also fine, but once again... privacy issues. The web is open to anyone and everyone.
- No Specific Location: Don't give out your address. Your street, or your town. You can give a state and if you live in a big city like Chicago, then that is fine as well.
- About Contact: Don't give out phone-numbers. eMails, BZP names, and AIM, MSN, or YIM screenames are fine. But so you don't have a stalker calling you, don't give it out...
- Email: Some of you may have verified your account with an email verification. Some of you have not, although you all should. For those who have, your email will not be reproduced, distributed, or copied in any way unless said otherwise by you. We are not responsible for your email if you have given it out yourself.
- COPPA: Consistent with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent. Basically what is stated above we will not ask for.
By following these simple rules we can ensure your identity and wellbeing.
