The Did you know corner
Some of the guys in the new skin contest had some great ideas like 'did you know'. Why not put them on the main page? (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Hangbin.)

Need Better Image
I think that every page with Template:Needbetimg on its talkpage should have a description of the image needed, because most of those pages don't have an existing better image. Masketh-Kahn (Talk/Contributions) 10:00, 13 January 2008 (PST)

Pages Requiring Attention
My opinion is that all of the Pages Requiring Attention should have a discription of what needs adding, because pages like Cargo Hauler, Disk Launcher, and Tower of Thought have no more existing information. ~Masketh-Kahn (Talk/Contributions\ Sandbox) 17:21, 29 January 2008 (PST)

Domes Images
Hi out there.
I'm not sure if I should be asking my question here, but I had no idea where else to go. I am sorry if I do something wrong.
My question is: whatever happened to the CGI images(there was some supurb CGI artwork of Mata Nui's relation the the Bionicle world that I saw fairly recently) and the artwork of the Matoran universe, the scales/proportions of the lands relative to other islands(like Mata Nui/Metru Nui/Domes), and the art concepts of the Domes' layout? These were, at least in my humble opinion, excellently made and provided a clear depiction of the universe that Bionicle takes place in. Can they please be restored? Thank you. BionicleWriter 18:14, 29 January 2008 (PST)
- Methinks you should find them here. :) ~dR. ChOlIe™ (My talk/Your talk) 18:16, 29 January 2008 (PST)
Cholie,
Thank you for giving me a reply so quickly, but I have searched that section thoroughly. I also checked the locations/Matoran universe/planet surface articles linked to it. The exceptional concept images that I saw previously are no longer there, and I was disappointed to find them gone. BionicleWriter 18:28, 29 January 2008 (PST)
- Hmm, you're right. :/ I think there on a sub page. Hang on, searching.... ~dR. ChOlIe™ (My talk/Your talk) 18:31, 29 January 2008 (PST)
The page containing those images has been re-written and the use of the images has been abandoned because they were speculational images created by members. The pictures, however, can still be found here. ~ Talk
Design ~
Again, thank you all for the help. I didn't expect to have this resolved so quickly. So, those images will not be used here anymore? They aren't accurate enough? If not, I will save them on my own computer. BionicleWriter 18:42, 29 January 2008 (PST)
- Yes, that's correct. We only allow official images. ;) ~dR. ChOlIe™ (My talk/Your talk) 18:44, 29 January 2008 (PST)
Matoran Universe
Okay. I just have one more question for now: what exactly needs to be added to the Matoran Universe article for it to be considered finished? Goodnight, BionicleWriter 18:51, 29 January 2008 (PST)
I'm sorry, but I could not think of or retrieve any more information for that article (Matoran Universe/Planet Surface). I don't really see what is missing. Just curious, but if I were to print that entry out to give to a friend, would there be a great deal of information that he would be missing out on? BionicleWriter 14:54, 31 January 2008 (PST)
- Don't worry, it's not all on you to provide information. That's what the rest of us are here for. ;)

Hello again, While browsing about the website (particularly the Kanohi), I noticed that the pictures of the Voya Nui Online Game's versions of the Toa Inika's Konohi were no longer displayed. I feel awkward being the one to note the removal of pictures again, but I thought these were a good reference to a secondary mask appearance. If they will not be put up on Bioniclesector again, is there a place that I can retrieve them for myself? BionicleWriter 17:34, 7 February 2008 (PST)
- I think we still have them, but on more appropriate pages. >> ~dR. ChOlIe™ (Yo/:D) 17:35, 7 February 2008 (PST)
Okay, I think...yes, now I found them. Just curious, why were they moved? Were they not offical? BionicleWriter 17:47, 7 February 2008 (PST)
- No, we only allow official images. ;) My guess is that they were moved due to being from a non-canon source. ~dR. ChOlIe™ (Yo/:D) 17:48, 7 February 2008 (PST)
Thank you again, ~dr. ChOlIe. I will continue to look around the articles a little later. BionicleWriter 18:01, 7 February 2008 (PST)

Forum
I don't know how this Wiki is related to BZP, but one thing I believe is that this Wiki should have it's own forum. Polls.. votes.. even deciding the CoTW, and the FC can be easier if we have our own Wiki forum. I'm not saying saying anything bad about the "quick-speak" function. I just think it would be alot more easier if we had it. Blurrz 22:03, 29 February 2008 (PST)

Articles for creation
If we have the AfD page, wouldn't it make sense to have a page for creating them, so that we don't have to use talk pages, not for large articals, like a new character. It could be the same as the AfD page but with some of the text changed to make sense. --Voya Nui Toa 11:05, 2 March 2008 (PST)
What I mean is smaller pages, like a minor battle, pages like that. It would allow the whole community to decide.--Voya Nui Toa 23:28, 3 March 2008 (PST)
Hey,
I have a suggestion concerning the Makuta (being) article. Wouldn't it be better to redirect to 'Makuta (being)' or 'Makuta of Metru Nui', when someone clicks on a link to the character's article? Right now, the reader is directed straight to the name "Teridax". Instead, can that name be given in the trivia section, rather than the article title? I suppose this could be helpful for those who do not want to know Makuta's name, and since he has simple been known as "Makuta" for so long.
Also, I have a quick question about something other. Why, for some articles, are pictures from the movies used for characters? Their use sometimes seems a little awkward. As all characters are not depicted in the movies' style, I believe that it would be more consistent to avoid using those kinds of pictures as the main ones in articles, except when it is absolutely necessary, like when showing an item/place, for example. Have a good day, BionicleWriter 12:39, 3 March 2008 (PST)
- Well, it's all over the place anyways. So not much can be done. :P
- And we have revised the image rules, and are trying not to use as many movie images. But sometimes, the movie images are the only good ones we have. ;) ~ThAt'S mR. cHoLiE™ tO yOu! (Yo/VOOOOOOTE! =O) 12:42, 3 March 2008 (PST)

New Members
I think that this Wiki should be alot more active in putting New Members in the right direction. Everyone who joins obviously has the desire to make this Wiki the best it can be, but when I first joined, I had no idea what was going on. Sure, I knew some stuff from Wikis I worked at before, but only minor things, like signing your opinions with 4 ~'s. I was so confused when it came to making my own User Page. I had no idea what to do either. Heck, I didn't even see that Welcome Sign till about a week after I joined! (Ah.. What's Quick-Speak? :P). Now obviously the fact that I was confused was due to me being lazy, but I'm pretty sure most New Members feel the same way. I'm not saying I was turned off by the fact that no one wanted me to become active, it's just that no one went out of their way to help me get to know the place better.
And... I think when a Mod Reverts a Page to it's previous carving, the Mod should say why they did that . Sometimes I don't even know why it's been reverted. :(. Oh, and can someone help me with setting up a signature? Thanks Blurrz 19:05, 4 March 2008 (PST)
- On the revert note, A revert happens in one click, so it's impossible to write a summary. v.v Instead, you can ask the mod who reverted why, I always do that, even now. :P And we've had mutable cases of members who have not read the Lexicon beforehand, and therefore don't know about the Quick-Speaks, so I was planning to ask Swert to change the message. That alone should help new members. Thanks. :) ~ThAt'S mR. cHoLiE™ tO yOu! (Yo/VOOOOOOTE! =O) 19:12, 4 March 2008 (PST)

Signiture Guidelines

Listen, this whole "V" thing is seriously ruining the tone of the wiki. First the Ussal, then the terminal, then the background, and now WIKI-NUI!?? I actually had to Ad-Block the background image! Can't Swert and V just call a truce and move on? The wiki's natural beauty is suffering for it! This wiki-scheme should be destroyed! Or at least painted a different color.--Wikipirate 23:02, 18 March 2008 (PDT)
- It's Swert's fault that we have this awful background. V and I are fighting for the true Wiki Nui, and that include the background. ~Lih
Lih is staff... Staff can do what they want. Not take orders from members like us. ^^ Exo Malakai: Master of Heat and Flame 乐 (Quickspeak|Contributions|Signature Styles)
- Kay, don't take it seriously. It is only a matter of oppinion if you like the backgound, etc. after all. -Kraahlix

SPEAKS TO YOU!
- Wikipirate. He seems to be against the changes in appearance of the wiki, and I was reminding him that it was oonly a matter of personal prefference. -Kraahlix
I am as displeased by this as you are. Unfortunately, Swert is determined to hold this game of his 16 days before April Fools (<_<) so we will have to bear with it for a bit more. You no Bioran!
"This wiki-scheme should be destroyed! Or at least painted a different color" Too much Spongebob. :P
Castle (Round Table/Tapestry)
Yes, ok, this fight is apparently valid now, my only concern is that the Wiki will attract less people. Plus, I don't think Swert and V will ever end this war... until Swert "does" whatever he's going to do. You know. The thing that V says will imminently doom the wiki. That he can't tell us about. Because of Swert. And his omnipotently enormous amount of optical organs.--Wikipirate 18:25, 20 March 2008 (PDT)
Set Pages
I'm wondering, why aren't there set pages? Like.. for each year? Blurrzzzzzzz -- Talk
- Uhh, what would be the point in that? Besides, we're a story wiki, not a set one. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 14:45, 24 March 2008 (PDT)
Not Needed
- If I may voice an opinion, erasing edits on account of 'not being needed', I do an edit is not sufficiant enough, than it should be Improved not taken away. (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Vidkid.)
- What exactly is your opinion, then? You didn't really finish the first sentence. Granted, based on the second sentence, I assume this is a complaint about reverting edits... But I'd just like to be sure.
- Now...No, not really. Sometimes things really just aren't needed. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 14:36, 24 March 2008 (PDT)
-I would just like to know what I am doing wrong!:c (The preceding unsigned comment was made by Vidkid.)
- For starters, sign your name whenever you make a comment. ;) That can easily be done by just typing four tildes: ~~~~
- Now, I went over your contributions, and the only thing I saw substantial as being removed was your revision to Spiriah's personality. As Bioran was the one who reverted that, you would have to ask him why he did what he did. (Generally, though, capitalization and grammar helps a lot.) --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 15:33, 28 March 2008 (PDT)
Citing BZP-exclusive information
May external links to relevant pages in Official Greg Discussion be used in cases where the information is not available anywhere else? Also, can footnotes be added in the "Appearances" section of each page to explain when and where specific events happened?
Here's an example (not perfectly formatted, but you get the idea):
The Matoran of Le-Koro were controlled by a Nuhvok swarm at one time.*[1]

Footnotes = sources, and we've already said countless times that we will not start doing this. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 09:14, 29 March 2008 (PDT)
I accept the fact that the staff does not allow references, but I still strongly object to the de facto ban on references. Can I start a petition on BZPower, or are petitions prohibited there?
Also, can members be banned for being strongly opposed to staff decisions? The Lord of the Masks 06:29, 30 March 2008 (PDT)
- Petitions are not allowed there, and if you post one, we'll ban you here.
- Yes, they can be banned for actively opposing staff decisions. It's disrespectful, unconstructive, pointless, and annoying. You can oppose our decisions privately, but do not start a huge campaign publicly. -- Cheers, Gravitan(Talk | Contribs)
Actually, petitions are allowed. I started a rather large one before, and I wasn't banned. ;)
Anyways, if you want to oppose staff decisions, you can. However, keep in mind that these complaints must be presented constructively and must be placed in the Complaint Center. Trust in Crystal Matrix's rule
- No, Bioran, people cannot go around opposing the staff. It's not gonna happen without some punishment. We have given LoTM a firm answer repeatedly, and we are not changing it; so for him to try to petition us into adding refs is an act of open defiance and will not be tolerated. -- Cheers, Gravitan(Talk | Contribs)
Umm... I support Bioran's view. Is passive resistance and/or disagreement considered open defiance? (The preceding unsigned comment was made by The Lord of the Masks.)
- Well, you've been pushing for them for a while now, even after we said no. So this can count as defiance, yes. You may add your source in a summary or on the article's talk page, preferably immediately after you make the edit, otherwise: no. ~ThAt'S mR. cHoLiE™ tO yOu! Protection
As has been pointed out on Swert's talk (under "Staff Shortage"), I, and others, think that there is just that. I'm going to say pretty much the same thing, but stuf on Swert's talk can get a little confused, seems how he gets so many scatterred messages.
IMO, the wiki is't as protected as it used to be, and should be. Vandals are hitting hard recently, and if we want to claim to be a family-friendly wiki, I think it is time to take some steps to ensure that there will be a trusted member with at least sysop on for as much time as possible. I know Erebus is taking sign-ups, but who knows how long until a valid and trustworthy one comes along? No offence to the members, but looking around, I only see a small amount of people that I would trust with the job (yes, that was nuetral). I've been the only one around with a vandal once or twice, and it was not fun. These people have dynamics and proxies, we should be much more secure... Don't get me wrong, our staff do an amazing job, but of course - there are times when they aren't on.
I present the idea that the staff make a group of members that are not staff, and still have to follow all rules that members do. That do have (most likely only) sysop, and are instructed and trusted to use it only to take care of vandals when no staff are on. A high level of trust has to be given to these people, that they wouldn't go off and edit the main page or something. Jut think about it, maybe even try it out. If there are people here that you trust like that, it may be a good sulotion.
EDIT: Oh, and IP addresses would be given to Swert thtough PM, email or in the way that he and I established. -Kraahlix
- Like, another CVU, but with sysop powers? Aravagantos | ¡¿?!/ñ 09:04, 30 March 2008 (PDT)
I can't allow that, Kraa. That requires modifying Wiki code to include a new group, which would be able to check edits and block users, but not edit the protected pages. You're asking for a pretty big thing here.
I'll do what I can, but I can't do it right now. --
Owner (Talk / BS01)
- That is not what I was trying to imply. I din't mean to make a new group as far as coding goes, but as far as the community goes. It would be pretty much a group of people with sysop, that are instructed not to use it for anything but taking care of vandals when staff aren't around. just back-ups. That's where the trust part comes in, because you wouldn't be limiting there sysops, but asking and trusting them not to use it unless the time comes when a vandal comes along and there is no staff around. -Kraahlix
- Would be extra work for the staff because they would need to watch over this group. Erebus teh n00b(Quick-Speak) 16:21, 31 March 2008 (PDT)
- There could be seperate accounts, say I get hired (imagine that :P - j/k), it could be User:Kraahlix/Protector, that would be the account with sysop, so the contribs would be much easier tracked, and normal edits (regular account) will still show up as unchecked. -Kraahlix
- Well what about giving some well-trusted members access to the vandal cleanup account? :/ Seems like that would be simpler...
(Contribs!/Sandbox!/Talk!)
- It would be simpler, wouldn't it? Except for the fact that the vandal cleanup account has more than just sysop. As for what Kraahlix said, your example is just a subpage of your userpage. Separate accounts would be too much for us, as in the staff, to look after. Erebus teh n00b(Quick-Speak) 21:08, 31 March 2008 (PDT)
- As for the VC thing, I really doubt that would happen, because as far as I know, if one of the protectors messed around with it, the staff ouldn't be able to tell who did it.
Sorry Erebus, I don't see why seperate accounts with sysop would be complicated. Let's say you give them to three people. You can just keep a link to their contribs in your sandbox or even UP, and check them everytime you log back on to the wiki.
Anyway, it seems as if the situation has become less dire recently, but these are all decent ideas to remember if the time ever comes when steps need to be taken, no? -Kraahlix- I actually think giving VC access to some people would be a good idea. If someone does something bad with it, checkuser would let us see who it was and then we could deal with him. Plus it's way easier than giving a bunch of people full sysop when all we really need is for people to be able to ban and clean up after vandals when the staff isn't around. -- Cheers, Gravitan(Talk | Contribs) -- Cheers, Gravitan(Talk | Contribs)

"Recent Changes" Filters
I suggest that, as an additional filter to the "Recent Changes" page, we add "User Pages"/"User Talk" This would help those who use the RC page to keep track of plot developments (like me), and would prevent the spamming caused by the recent "owning" trend. ~

Silver Masks
Should a "Silver Masks" article be created since they are Bionicle canon (although they may have never been formed)? Join theWiki-NuiFreedom Fighters!Wikipirate, of The Wiki-Nui Freedom Fighters 13:13, 6 April 2008 (PDT)
Unless I'm mistaken, Greg's contradicted himself a great deal in regards to these "Silver Kanohi." Sometimes, he's said it's all of the Noble powes, and at other times that they were just a set thing... It's quite ambiguous. Though, I'm not completely against mentioning them somewhere... Just not an article on them. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 17:03, 10 April 2008 (PDT)
Maybe a section on the Kanohi page? I'm composing a PM to Greg now; I'll track down the various sayings and ask him which is canon. --Master of the Rahkshi 5:09 PM, 4/10
Userpages for New Members
I have noticed a lot lately that new members will use, say, the Rahi template or Makuta template for their userpage instead of the User template. I think there should be a notice on the main page or something that tells new members not to use any template other than the "User" template on their userpage. Or somehow make it so that only that template can be used for userpages. ~Tahu Mata (Quick-Speak/Contribs) 06:03, 12 April 2008 (PDT)
- Whenever you create a new page, there already is a notice saying only to use the User template for user pages. A mentioning of the Template Use Policy is also included in the Welcome template. Still, though, members continue to add it. There's nothing else we can do... And your suggestion about not letting any other templates be used on user pages is impossible. --~|ET|~ (Talk/Contribs) 06:57, 12 April 2008 (PDT)
